Nadine. You said...." But Islam does not have a structure equivalent to the Catholic hierarchy. Nor does Judaism. There is no equivalent to a bishop, who is under the authority of a cardinal, who answers to the Pope. ".... Thanks Nadine but I was pretty well aware of that and where I was leading in this was that IMO islam has no governing body, it has a bible that was written 1500 years ago and is interpreted by so called clerics of to day in whatever way they wish. If some of them wish to interpret the quran as a God given right to kill innocent people they are free to do this. There are many religions to day and for the most part they are made to fit with todays civilizations.....IMO islam is no where near that which is required to fit into to days modern world....Big problem.
