I think its preposterous to force a club to interview a candidate based on skin color. I'm not sure its even constitutional and if I were an owner I would fight that rule.

First of all - the Lions knew they were going to hire Mariucci so to bring in a Black Candidate just for the sake of meeting the rule is insulting. How would you like to be the Token that flies in for a job interview that you know you have no chance of getting?

Second - I'm not sure I understand the logic. The number of black coaches in the league currently matches (or just about) the percentage of the black population in the untied states which stands at about 12%. It makes no sense and is yet another example of political correctness gone bad.
