I can posit two reasons: One, because the foul wind from Europe's blown west... everyone's jealous of America. Two, because there remains a base of Communist sympathizers who've managed to get a foothold among the people by spreading the myth that Korea, once united, was actually divided by the evil Americans in the Korean War. Now, we all know that that's not true, but it's what the people there believe, and we have to deal with it.

When you continually face criticism for your policies, the blame game [as in blame it on jealousy i.e.] becomes suspect. I really don't believe jealousy motivates the Germans right now. If that's true, then what is their true motivation?
