No one wants war except Bush. Starting a war that jeopardizes our military as well as Iraqi women and children while simultaneously giving Saddam - the reason for the war - asylum seems insane.IMO

Good insight..............the current plan is destabilizing the planet............a change in the plan is needed.

Most likely, no one thinks that Saddam is wonderful.

Peter Arnet, currently in Baghdad and working for MSNBC, said that the Iraqi people fear Saddam but they fear the aftermath of the war even worse. They will lose their homes, some will lose their lives or be hurt beyond total healing, they will have to stop their life paths and will be totally disrupted as to lifestyle. Many of the poor will starve to death because they live in the outlying regions of the country and will not be able to get aid quick enough. Most Iraqi people do not want to live in limbo for several years until their country can be resurrected after a bloody invasion destroys their entire infrastructure.

They would like Saddam to go, but by a means other than the US coming in a destroying their country.

They sound like sensible people to me!!!!
