It is heartening to see such an enlightened stand on principle as this.

"Let's see: If we piss off the US and they pull out their troops, we lose $5 billion a year. If we piss the Iraqis and they cancel out contracts, we lose $2 billion a year.

Clearly we must support our comrade-in-arms, Turkey, as we had sworn to do when we originally signed the NATO treaty!"
