imo it would take all of 3 minutes to make a deal with saddam wherein he becomes a reliable replacement ally for saudi arabia allowing us to deal firmly and forcfully with the real terrorists sitting in riyadh. iraq is no threat to us now. if saddam goes it will become an islamic state like its neighbors. then it will be a threat to us, just like saudi arabia and, arguably, iran.
