That's easy...the Saudi Government didn't do that, a couple dozen of their resident nutjobs did. It's a HUGE difference when a state sponsors and sanctions terrorist behavior. On that score, there are many governments worse than the Saudis...(Syria, Yemen and Libya are three that immediately come to mind). Problem is, that government probably won't be in power too much longer, and the nutjob Wahabi's will. Therefore it's nice to have an enormous military presence entrenched there for when we need it, bought and paid for with Iraqi oil.

Trust me, if Saddam had overrun Saudi in 1991, we'd be a hundred times worse off than we are now. Believe it or not.
