I don't normally, because they are not moderated and it seems as though every idiot in the world posts on yahoo. What concerns me is this. Yahoo has TOS. Even though they say they dont have "moderators", they will enforce their TOS as well as all laws, and will not allow members to break their TOS or break any laws. Well, I wont name the company, but a person that was nanned from AOL permanently for his actions has been on yahoo trashing companies, breaking federal laws, breaking yahoos own TOS and etc, etc... Yahoo has been made aware of this person at least 50 time already, and all they have to do is take one look at this person and they will see he makes 50 posts a DAY, that breaks the law as well as yahoo's tos. Yahoo has been made aware of this, many, many, many times. They even were sent a letter by an aol supervisor that said this person was banned permanently by AOL due to his HABITUAL actions. But yahoo does not seem to care, and I know that people are now complaining to the SEC concerning Yahoo's FAILURE to act. I also see possible lawsuits from certain companies in which they made yahoo aware that posters were spreading falsehoods about their company, yet yahoo does nothing. I just think Yahoo's failure to act concerning it's message boards, is going to bring a HOARD of lawsuits from individuals as well as companies. Obviously, this isnt going to damage yahoo for long, but it could be a FUD cloud for them to get thru. Personally, I know several individuals and 2 companies that are looking closely at yahoo, documenting posts made, and complaints sent to yahoo, as well as yahoo's failure to take action. One idiot, GUARANTEED in writing that comapny xxxx will file bankruptcy within 2 months. The stock went down 25%, the company notified yahoo that this poster broke the law, as well as yahoo's TOS, yet yahoo did nothing. Lawyers are now in the mix deciding the best possible course of action. I love yahoo, always have.....but if they dont get their message boards straightened out in a hurry, you may start seeing newsclips of lawsuits being filed, because legally, Yahoo must enforce it's TOS, especially so if complaints are made....yet they are not. Not comparing AOL with yahoo, but aol used to be just the same...anybody could post anything with no repercussions. I think it took a lawsuit filed to finally get them to get their message boards in order. Now, you will be quyickly suspended and eventually banned for life, if you break AOL's tos and people complain about you. They now take action, whereas, yahoo does not. Again, I olove yahoo and you cant help but be impressed with how well they have done in this awful environment, but I am concerned about the geo-political crap, as well as what may possibly happen, if yahoo doesnt put a stop to the digraces occuring on their message boards.
