So we should not have tried to defeat Hitler until we had the post-war Occupation plans all lined up? Come on, this is just rationalization.

Nadine,

This coming war and the war against Nazi Germany have as much in common as an emergency appendectomy and elective surgery to remove a potentially problematic tumor.

We had to follow and counter Hitler's timetable since his was an aggressive action.

In removing Saddam, we have the advantage of setting our own schedule, making sure that everything is in place, and that we have a clear vision of what we would realistically like to see happen post-invasion.
