According to Bush, Iraq has 30,000 banned warheads. If the warheads occupied 1 cubic foot each, that would be the equivalent of an area 10 feet tall, 40 feet wide and 80 feet long, and that is not allowing any space whatsoever for moving about the building. Iraq is under constant surveillance by US satellites in addition to the inspections. Biological and chemical weapons are not the sort of item you would hide in some farmer's barn and distribute at random all over the countryside. Aside from increasing the probability of inspectors finding the items, by increasing the number of locations where they could be found, the amount of risk involved in having them scattered around loose would be virtually unimaginable. I'd say if 115 people with the aid of satellite recon photos were unable to find a weapons cache that large in a mostly desert, thinly populated, and under developed area the size of California, there would be something seriously wrong. On the flip side, if 20 terrorists can find and obtain weaponized anthrax in a country the size of the United States, without any of the above advantages, I'd also say there was something seriously wrong. America is the most educated, well funded, technically advanced, well armed nation on the face of the planet, and without a doubt has the most advanced intelligence network. For someone who appears to have a certain amount of faith in our country, why do you keep trying to paint a picture of the US being Larry, Moe and Curley vs. Godzilla? If there were anything to find, it would have been found. And if Bush, Powell and Rumsfeld honestly believed there was something to find, they would throw all their intelligence in the laps of the inspectors to vindicate their actions, and the inspectors would turn up a massive pile of smoking guns in short order.
