You bet, but how much influence do you really think they'll have in the chaos after his death? Iraq has known nothing but Saddam for twenty-five years now. A power vacuum would ensue after his death. It'd be way too torn for any of his associates to grab power, especially after the civilian army surrenders.


I think a power vacuum that can be easily filled by one of his sons or his number one henchman. Of course, no one can predict for sure but they could keep his death quiet until they amass their power.

However, idle speculation gets us no where.
