re: First we have to be willing to stop this war
what war? I was not aware that we were at war with Iraq <gggg>
re: Actually that is all Saddam wanted - help rebuilding after his 8 year war with Iran a war that was supported by the USA
is that why he was gassing people or distributing Iraq's income evenly between his personal account and nuclear weapons program
re: Iraq was one of the most modern Arab states before America attacked and destroyed much of it.
while most of the arab countries still using rifles and crude bombs, Sadam bacteriological and chemical weapons and if Israel would not bomb them in time they would have nuclear weapons as well. But he is far more advanced than other arab countries in weapons only
re: America does not have to go to war to make changes - america has proven that already -
exactly, what are the chances that Iraq would ever consider letting inspectors back in unless US would not threaten him with war. Unfortunately it would take war to disarm him
re: Why war now?
after 911 it became clear that tolerance is no longer an option

You post that there are solutions instead of war.
But I couldn't find any in your posts other than giving aid.

I was hoping the UN had a policy for denouncing all dictators. I thought that is why it was created.

The weapons are hidden under those made-man lakes, but Blix won't find them, and the terrorist payments are still going to Hamas.
