Yes I could see calling it that too. But it's sort of an Animal Farm" distinction. When you put down one group over another, that's heirarchy. Muslims are in denial when they say their religion has no heirarchy when clearly it does, especially in terms of gender. Maybe that is where the greatest hope lies for muslims today, recognizing that women have a legitimate claim on wisdom too, no more or less than men.
