I still contend, as evidenced by Libya's Kaddafi turning over a new leaf, the better strategy would be to have better, not worse, relations with Iraq
What planet do you live on?

"Libya Lip" Khaddafi "turned over a new leaf" because some F-16's tried to blow him to his reward. And we all know that. Let's not rewrite history here. It was a famous incident in the early 1980's.

And the peacenik UN left screamed, bitched, moaned, and yelled about that too.

This is precisely analogous to the fact that inspectors would not be within a thousands miles of Iraq if the US had not started moving forces into the area. And U2's would not be flying over it had the US not ratcheted up the pressure.

None of us know what will happen when war comes. The few WMD's Saddam has been able to develop, the less bad it will be.

It's extremely any other mideast countries are going to declare war on us. If they do, we'll crush them.

As Lazarus Long has already noted, Kaddafi modifying his behaviors occurred after we bombed him severely. This does not argue in favor of dovishness.
