The perception is that the United States is going to somehow sieze the Iraq oilfields. And this is the reason so many are opposed to our actions. After it is over, and they see that doesn't happen, I suspect all will be well.

The extremists believe that about the oil, not mainstream dissidents.

The reason people are opposed to going to war against Iraq is because Bush and Blair have not been able to justify their reasons well enough. Stop trying to blame it on something ridiculous so that you're off the hook.
