>> I disagree that we should disregard alliances such as the UN and NATO <<

NATO has long since become a disgrace. NATO was formed soley as a temporary defensive alliance. the US-led NATO war on serbia was not in defense of any NATO member whatsoever. so NATO is a relic from the cold war that has been corrupted and twisted to suit the needs of the imperialists. washington and jefferson warned against permanent and entangling alliances. that's just what NATO has become. permanent and entangling.

i've already spoken my piece about the UN. it is a sham institution and an anathema to the principles underlying our constitution and america's christian morality. a body is only as good as its members and there are a lot of immoral members to the UN. why should immoral states have any say about what happens in the world? why foolish americans believe the world should be a democracy is beyond me. who wants to give a vote to a bunch of anti-american rogue states? why shouldn't americans alone decide our destiny in this world? as long as we act in a morally upright manner, we shouldn't have to answer to any nation, except our own.

furthermore the UN is founded upon its charter which should be wholly unacceptable to americans who value the US constitution.
