I, too, am anti-war and I didn't make it to a rally, now it's two to one. Here's an excellent post by Maurice Winn...

I agree with your last statement.
And you are probably right about the last two before that.

Amazingly I am very uninformed about the issues
involving Kashmir. I saw a program that blamed
Lord Montbatten (not sure of spelling) under the
British when the lines were drawn. I will try
to do some reading on that issue.

Personally I am sad the world is getting more polarized.
I have always admired many cultures from food, music, clothes, etc. I have also learned from different religious and philisophical view points. I feel alone nowdays in
that philosophy.

re: ...<smile>... Like I said yesterday, I am from Kashmir....but I wouldn't want US, (the country where my kids are citizens), to be emroiled in a bloody battle in Kashmir
I am really curious if you would be still smiling and against US intervention if you would have to stay in Kashmir and your children would be killed one after another. It makes sense that if Americans would adopt your outlook on life we would be smiling at the graves of your children. hmmm..... something to think about, eh? But, as you also said yesterday, you do not get ulcer looking at other children dying, in fact, you are happy and very forgiving when it is not your children.
I am afraid of people like you, jmho
