Certainly people with an overly competitive nature can push themselves beyond their limits, but the failure to know and respect one's limits is something we have all been guilty of. Also the trampling deaths in the Chicago nightclub were very tragic and the management may be criminally libel. Large crowds can be very dangerous. In the 80s my wife and I attended a Rolling Stones concert. In the concourse of the stadium it became so congested that we were trapped for about an hour and with all the bodies pressing against ours my wife's feet actually left the ground while solely the crowd was supporting her. I would never go to an event like that again. It was horrible.
