Hussein is a two bit thug no more no less.
For a mere $100M we can probably heep him bottled up with inspections for another 10 years. A war will cost up front probably close to $200B but more importantly, that same $200B can be spent tracking down Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. I firmly believe that an invasion in Iraq, against mammoth world opinion and even a US population that is far more supportive of more inspections than war, is an enormous waste of $, and will serve as fertile grounds for recruitment of more fundamentalist terrorists.

Finally I believe that Bin Laden is praying we are stupid enough to attack Iraq, as it will tie our troops down for years, and garner sympathy for any counter-attack they manage to pull off. Just you whatch and see how much the world cares if we are retaliated against if Bush is stupid enough to wage this war now.

We can not afford it militarily, economically, socially, or in my mind, morally. The arltenative is simple, keep him bogged down for years with inspections, and if he attempst anything stupid, blow him to smitheerens. Personally I doubt he tries anything stupid, and I am 100% convinced he does not have nuclear weapons.

I say we should spend our money protecting our border and hunting down Al Qaeda, not on this two bit dictator who is no credible threat to anyone.
