Were your European fellows so cavalier about their surroundings before the US brought down the Soviet empire and their armored divisions and missile batteries parked in their back yards? If so, they must think they live in a vacuum.

my mistake for not making it clear enough for you to understand. it wasn't meant that the americans would beg or cry for respect, however, they do command it aand only a fool or a frenchman, same thing most times, would not recognize that. and if you have doubts about the american's confidents, then you are in denial about your tight jaw postings and the fact there are a very large presence in europe of american military insuring the peace there, especially in the hot zones. the europeans have already complained recently when the americans said they were going to pull some of their troops out of the old yugoslav to be used elsewhere. did the french or germans offer to fill in to take care of their own backyard....no they just poked fun, laughed and ignored it,but, you have confidence and respect in that. this is a website for chat and debate and you shouldn't let that bother you so much, it's just free speach being exercised. note...most americans are here because they got sick of what been going on for centuries in other countries or they just like what's going on in america better. tell us dale, what country do you owe your alligence to....
