Karen....Remember sometime ago FL wanted some information about the author of an article someone had posted...? It is interesting to know a bit about what else the person has written, and his/her bio if possible. Same thing with web sites.....they are always sponsored by someone/some entity. We can usually find "who/what" that is if we look, and it does help to know a bit about the bias as well. Everyone has a bias...you and me included. Years ago, journalism majors were taught to try to keep the bias out of their work, as much as possible. In those days, not every article had a name on it, which of course, then becomes someone's opinion. Today, nearly ALL articles, including Foreign Affairs, have someone's name on them, so the article is that person's opinion, and not necessarily "news." Of course, that person can be trying to "make news." Each person who reads the article/site can "credit" or "discredit" it, if they wish. I personally did neither one....just considered the source. So, we need to know what the website is, and who sponsors it, IMO. Hey, Karen, if you're looking to discredit the site by virtue of who runs it...why? The fact is while some newspapers reported much higher numbers as turnouts, this indy news is showing the lower figures.
