I recall that the Israelis bombed an Iraqi nuclear facility when it became known that Iraq was using it to produce weapons. That was done immediately, just the way we should have done in North Korea.

I agree.

Of course, Saddam wanted to annex Kuwait, and the U.S. let him do it because the President thought the advice of his ambassador wasn't as good as that of a Kansas senator whose constituents were doing a lot of business with Iraq.
Stupidity rules again.
