<< Human affairs are unpredictable and we need all the help we can get. >>

Yes, and when dealing with a sadistic, butcher like Saddam, things get even more unpredictable.

The antiAmerican protesters want the world to believe that they know Saddam, and that Saddam is not dangerous, and that Saddam would never cause harm to America, or his own people. The antiAmerican protesters, with all their experience and deep knowledge of the world and of history, would have us believe that regimes like those in Iraq and North Korea ARE predictable, and that they come in peace bearing gifts.

To me, the only predictable behavior is when it comes to the unfettered use of drugs and sex, by the demonstrators, after they get through with their ranting and raving.
