Brumar, you're a good digger. And you stand honorably on your side of the argument. Thus, I'll ask you this directly only because I've yet to see a satisfactory answer, having asked this question nearly a half a dozen times. Of course, the answer could be buried in responses I haven't been able to read, but let me anyway try again. When is the last time in modern warfare that a city of 5.5 million, defended by a reasonably-equpped military of 300,000, was invaded and its leadership captured? How great were the casualties then; and how great would they become today?
