Your priest should read Saint Augustine.

Dear Patricia: Surely you dont believe Bush doesnt care about the weaker ones in this country? Gosh, he discusses that on almost every speech. It is BUSH who wants to help out faith based Charities (IMHO it is those charities, such as Catholic Charities, that do the MOST for the downtrodden)
All Christians would agree War is sinful but sometimes one has to do things to ELIMINATE even more sinful acts. Bush makes it clear every time he addresses the topic we are NOT going to wage war against the Iraqui's but against Saddam and his wicked henchmen. I have seen TOO MANY people from Iraq testify to the ruthfulness of Saddam to not believe the Iraquis would be better off without him. jdn

Bush doesn't even take care of the weaker ones in this country !!

only your opinion

He is about to destroy the lives of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people,

what makes you think so? IMO, SADDAM is about to kill many of his own people by not living up to the UN resolutions. It is in HIS lap. And psssst...I have news for you....soldiers get killed in war.

SO you think that CHrist would say it OK to kill them as long as we were getting rid of Saddam

kill who? The citizens of Iraq? That is in Saddam's hands.

My priest, last weekend, said that war is sinful.

priest of what, you have to be more clear. Catholic priest? priest of the local Tiko Taco? What?

My priest, last weekend, said that war is sinful.

And those that willingly participate in it are what?,,,,,

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
John Stuart Mill
