let me see
re: 1) Reaffirm the the UN is the best vehicle for solving the problem.
yep, how can you go wrong if Khadafi is heading the human rights body....
re: 2) Triple the inspectors.
yep, effectiveness of those is zero so 3*0=?
re: 3) Announce that victory has been achieved due to the new open door policy of Iraq in relation to the inspections and note the inspections will continue, thus leaving Iraq in a state of containment.
did not work in 90's but hey whatever makes you happy
re: 4) Inspire a new conference of Arab leaders to vigorously meet in order to best determine how to improve conditions of nations and relations of nations within the region.
hey after reading such a post they are already inspired....
re: 5) Open up new and direct negotiations with Iraq on how to pursue lifting sanctions, this in return for helping in catching Al Qaeda terrorists. Maybe bring in Libya's Kaddafi, who is now helping to track down Al Qaeda, as an ally to share this project with Saddam. The two leaders don't like each other, but they respect each other--both are against Al Qaeda.
Sadam and khadafi - unbeatable team....
re: 6) Begin moving the military now in the MiddleEast to a new "undisclosed destination,"--North Korea!
I thought it is "DON'T START THE WAR" thread <gggg>
re: 7) Call a conference with European leaders, reaffirm solidarity and old alliances--this time including Russa. Determine how best to strengthen the United Nations.
of course, the solution was right there and I just did not see it (you do not have a clue about russia, do you?)
re: 8) Call a summit with heads of state of Russia and China--perhaps the three of leaders visit and meet with both the Israelis and Palistenians.
don't forget about required big hug
re: 9) Put the same kind of presson on Sharon that's been put on Saddam in terms of wanting the UN's influence heeded in the region.
you mean we should start military actions against only few remaining loyal allies, good idea
re: 10) Call a worldwide conference, of all nations, to determine a plan to constructively deal with poverty, health and shelter issues and economis self-determination of each individual. On this agenda will be the question: What breeds terorism.
I thought that was what UN (League of Nations in its prior life) is for. It did not work for the last 100 years but should start working any moment now...

You deserve Nobel Peace prize for your effort. <ggggg>
