Lefty, thanks for info. On first blush, without doing any homework, I would think MIEC might be a better speculation. This whole sector is a major savior for the horse racing industry. When I went to Laurel,several years ago, it seemed to me that the crowd was mostly geriatric. The electronic venue should bring in much younger fans.
Different subject. Using morning line win odds,I calculated expected payoffs for superfectas from several tracks yesterday. Instead of 75 cents on the dollar the payoffs were 40-60 cents on the dollar, especially bad when favorites were in the first four. I always liked to bet the twin triple when the carryover was significant(only hit twice). I thought that crowd might be biased in super and had noticed paltry payoffs when favorites figured. But payoffs stink across most combinations. Doesnt make sense sense if certain branches on probability tree are poor choices then other branches should be superior. Tiz a mystery.
