Since you resorted to personal attacks on me with no provocation, I choose not to discourse with you any more. BTW, I have worked and lived in Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman and have visited several other Middle Eastern countries and several other countries in many parts of the world. I was born in England and moved to the States as an adult. Your characterization of me as "an American couch potato" (which could also be construed as an insult of all North Americans) and your unwarranted personal attack on me display an arrogant, obnoxious trait, somewhat like how terrorists behave, first insult people then it's OK to attack them physically. Go away, bye!

Hey, Zonder, imagine you and I completely agreeing on something!

Well and passionately said!

Namaste!

Jim

Don't you dare suggest your "understanding" of the suffering in the area from what you have read and heard from your western media comes within a mile of my experience first as a girl and then as a young woman in the Middle East.

I think you haven't a clue. If you had actually lived in the region, especially as a woman, then you'd understand first hand just how much good a shot of democracy and the 20th century would do for the people of the region which is exactly what removing Saddam and an occupation of Iraq will accomplish.....
