MILT - 2mil float - Miltope Awarded $9 Million in Delivery Orders From U.S. Army Tuesday February 18, 11:51 am ET MONTGOMERY, Ala., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Miltope Group Inc., ("Miltope"), (Nasdaq: MILT - News) announces receipt of multiple delivery order for computers and computer accessories, for the United States Army as part of the Maintenance Support Device ("MSD") contract. This order is for additional deliveries associated with the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity ("IDIQ") contract originally awarded to Miltope in May of 2001. ADVERTISEMENT This production order calls for delivery in excess of 1,500 MSD rugged laptop systems, which are based on the Miltope Model TSC-750 rugged laptop computer. The TSC-750 is unique in that it is qualified to the stringent requirements of Military Specifications such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461. This allows the Miltope computer system to be utilized in military forward areas where operation under any and all environmental conditions is encountered. From the hottest conditions on an Apache flight line to the blowing sand and dust of the desert, the TSC-750 continues to support the mission of the soldier in the field. The TSC-750 rugged computer systems are design and manufactured by Miltope at their ISO 9001 certified Hope Hull, Alabama facility. Deliveries of these systems will take place in the first half of 2003 adding to the over 10,000 rugged laptop systems delivered by Miltope to the Army over the past five years. Miltope and Miltope products form an integral part of the Army effort for complete situational awareness and digitization on the battlefield.
