Ted Re...As for Europe's stagnation in the 90s, I think it had more to do with the development of the EU, the strict parameters for admission into the EU, and the incumbent problems that come with an undertaking of this magnititude.

More liberal platitudes and excuses. We will see. If Europes approach to their economy is anything like their approach to solving Iraq, they are in deep doodoo.

In ten years, if the EU is in the same place it is now, then I would consider it may be a failure.

Why; will you tire of blaming Gw and America for everything by then?

Europe is slowing things down through the UN because they don't see the urgency that Bush sees.

Europe never sees any urgency to any thing, except blaming everybody else.

Saddam is a pain in the ass but has not been a threat for ten years.

But the things the US has had to do to contain that threat, keep troops in SA, and continue sanctions are the reasons OBL is using to recuit his religious fanatics.
