who said I'm asking people to feel sorry for me? I am arguing for fairness and in support of my employees and my industry which are screwed by this law.

I know many who rue the high tech industry and the "wealth" it has brought to the region.

I would bet that real estate has brought more wealth to the region than your industry.

I don't know where you are going with these 2 comments, but I hope you understand that there is at least as much ponzi-esqe valuation principles at work in real estate in California as anything in the tech industry.

This is the most ridiculous statement yet. If you answer nothing else, please answer this: Who, WHO, JUST WHO DO YOU THINK BUILT THE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE FIRST PLACE??!?!?

What are you talking about? The schools near me are 50 years old. They haven't been upgraded since the 70s. It certainly wasn't my neighbors who ever built anything around here... maybe their parents did in the 50s, the salad days of California.

If you think people who had their peak earnings years in the 70s contributed some huge amt of greatness to this country and state, well, I don't know what to say to that. The 70s were the least productive time for the USA in 100 years. I'll bet you can't even name 20 great companies that came out of the 70s. Regulation and unions ruled the day then, maybe that history is why this group feels the need to constantly protect themselves with abusive laws, I don't know.

The elderly, as a group, have always controlled the wealth.

No they haven't- thats why social security was put into effect.
