oh yeah totally... I knew. I wasn't predicting a crash in the tech industry overall or anything- I never thought this depression would happen. But I knew I was overpaying for everything at the time, house stocks whatever.

I happen to have a lot of very general feelings about prop 13 having nothing to do with whether I owned property or not. Its not like I just figured out the inequity here, I've known it for sometime. The thing that rekindled it for me is the budget crisis in the state, now all the renters have to pay increased sales taxes, taxes on everything but once again... long time homeowners are "exempt".
