"Seems like keeping people's kids from dying is about as good as PR gets, and that's if you are just cynical." I agree that concern, consideration, compassion, and aid for your children is likely a universally welcome gesture. However, I would be suspicious of policies that put PR ahead of the ethics of concern for human injustice. I am also suspicious of policies that appear to be stepping in to care for children, where society has failed to empower parents to care for their own.
