The Mearshimer and Walt arguments don't hold water IMO. Why do you not wish to debate them? I've yet to see anyone proeprly defend them. Indefensible?

No. It's just that doing so is a bit like debating the Supreme Court selection of Bush in 2000. It's very old news; I've said all I have to say. And I suspect you have done so as well.

I guess, the short of it is, that it's not a topic that interests me right now. I read the Pollack, carefully, and thought, best I could tell, that he was correct on the containment arguments. But that was my introduction to those issues, at least in any serious sense. When the M&W piece came out, I also read it carefully. And compared it with Pollack, simply to make up my own mind. I've done so. And we've all discussed it here.

I might change my mind. But right now. It's simply not interesting.

I do appreciate the invitation. If I circle back on it, I'll post here to you.
