I know that I have now converted you and welcome you to the fold of those who will go the extra mile to spare innocent lives. You are to be commended paul.

Condor,

You forget that I don't subscribe to the pure WMD argument. I see Iraq as the WW3 equivalent of Normandy. There is no way to occupy the territory without putting some civilian lives at risk. Sad and regrettable but no reason not to act.

Paul

The present plan accepts that civilians will be killed and the other plan ( subterfuge, insurgency and all those other hard to spell words) is not being tried first in the interest of sparing civilians. The head on lets fry the b*astards is a more sexy program and requires less thinking.

What you envisage could well lead to a civil war with a great deal of contributing villainy from Iranian, Turks, Saudis and Syrians. Civilian deaths likely to be very great indeed.

Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

Empty slogan.
