Enjoyed the pictures. Seeing your daughter reminded me of my two at a similar age. It was in both cases a joy the first time I could play mimic. Newly born there is no recognition. But one day as you are carefully imitating their behavior, they suddenly stop. There's a look in their eye, and you can see "the wheels turning". Then they will do a test. They'll make some movement (or sound), and if you imitate it, they respond with a beaming smile. From that point, "let the games begin". Long before speech, a lot of communication.
