>>>told a briefing organized by an association of foreign journalists in the Philippines.<<<

I don't know, but just the sound of the way this briefing is described above gives me a skeptical eye. What better way to get a "WDM buried in tunnels" story implanted than by a briefing in a remote location, far from where all the heavy news is happening, away from the scrutiny? Disinformation perhaps? What this briefing actually could be is a staged event in order to provide a base to a story the Bush Administration may want circulated.

I could be wrong ... and I probably am wrong. I guess what supports my theory is that Hussain Al Shahristani has been out of Iraq since 1991. I did a search and could find no record of him mentioning anything about WDM buried in Iraqi tunnels.

Can anyone present past testimony where he makes this same allegation? I can't find any.
