I knew that answer would come up. Yes Oracle and Apple, msft were *founded* in the late 70s. But that does not make them companies that were built and flourished in the 70s.

SAP, really is more of a 90s company although it was around in the 70s and 80s. Computer Associates, lets not discuss that poor excuse for integrity.

Fed Ex, and some retailers such as WMT truly did come about and grow in the 70s. There were a few companies, not many who were globally competitive in the 70s, I'm sure most here understand this... there was a reason the USA was mired in stagflation and Japan was humming along with a booming stock market at the time, after all.

Anyway you know why this came up... just to point out that people in their 20s today are just as industrious and just as hard working as any other group and do not own any other group anything for "building the nation" or whatever you want to call it. I'm not really against the 70s, disco rulez.
