Excorsisms are still practiced by Catholic's That may or may not be true, I have no knowledge of it whether they do or don't anymore, but even when the demons named Legion approached Jesus,(Mark 5) they knew who Jesus was, and they had to obey him when he told them to come out of the man...they were subservient to Jesus...to me that is not "godlike powers" on their part.
