Check my soon-to-be-published book, Karen. ;-) In short, calls for far too long a reply. At least given that I have another life or two to live outside this thread.

I think, however, the critical difference I have with you on this point are: (1) I don't see Iraq as an immediate or near term threat to US interests; (2) I see an invasion of Iraq as producing one of the great blowbacks of all time in the Arab world and thus increasing our vulnerability rather than decreasing it; (3) that Iraq is debatably containable right now; and (4) this all takes focus away from addressing Al Q, attacking it and fashioning a foreign policy which reduces its ability to recruit.

Didn't see Blair but I have great respect for him.
