To be honest, I dont know. I thought heat exhaustion is what could lead to heat stroke. The only training I ever had on the subject was in the Service (which I imagin you had too) but its been so long, all I remember anymore is the damn salt tablets. haha. jdn

Two different things, the stroke being the more serious, by then you are close to dead and somebody needs to take care of you.

If you're working in the heat and develop a headache or dizziness, it's time to quit, drink fluids and get cool. If you stop sweating you are in real trouble and very close to the stroke part.
