> If I recall correctly, you were one of the stalwarts who RESISTED Mink's exploration efforts

I do not recall saying anything about Mink. A lot of folks gave you a lot of crap back then, but I was not one of them !

> If memory serves, you resisted any attempt to even discuss Mali

I probably resisted getting into the fray of the nasty debates, as opposed to discussions, that were occurring. You may recall how little I had to say about Bre-X and avoided those debates, which did not mean I did not have an opinion.

It's like trying to have a serious informative discussion on GPM when the average poster is acting like a two year old - "I'm right and you are wrong" "No, it's the other way around", etc ......

I was just as interested as others (as you and Claude) in the area plays during that era, including the rush to West Africa looking for areas similar to the Guyana Shield in South America. I just never got around to investing there.

> What changed and when did Mali hit your radar screen in a serious "look"? Anglo @ Morila?

Mali hit my radar screen about 1993, but until 1997 there was not much going on. Since then, nothing like a success story to get others interested.
Mali gold production is one of the best growth stories in the worldwide mining industry.

A 10-fold increase in under a decade should hit anyone's radar screen.
