Condor,
Its only a hope. Here i am a guy who was for the gulf war, but greatly upset by the large casualties the iraqis took in that war. I am a pacifist at heart but i have to make judgements with my brain. War should be abolished but it cant be done unilaterally as some would have it. Anti war demos looked more like European demonstrations in the 80s. If they got their way then, perhaps the Soviets would still exist today. Who knows? American might has reshaped the world in many good ways. I hope once this overall war on terror has been won, we can approach the world from the Marshall Plan perspective of HST. National interest should not be defined narrowly going forward and america should never, never go back to isolationism. mike
