Art,

I've been following AMSC for approx 7 years. The during the last 6 months the price hs be the lowest I've ever seen. Generally, I attribute it to continued fall-out from the dotcom/tech bust despite numberous, promising R&D successes and continuous manufacturing startup. Specifically, their demonstration project in Detroit last year had a problem with a leaking liquid nitrogen line.

Then again the whole superconducting sector is down also.

OTOH They've yet to have a profitable quarter.

OBTW They have contracts in hand to supply superconducting electric motors for the next generation naval electric ships.

AYA Fuel cell powered electric motors will replace the diesel and internal combustion engines.

So.......AMSC may be a likely candidate to pour profits into in about 3-5-10 years. Stay tuned.
