I feel much safer when we are buying beanie-babies from China then when we were rattling sabers.

So do I. The old world of "Us vs the Soviets" looks much safer now. In an earlier post, I said we not only needed to do these things to stop Korea, but to put up a roadblock to the other countries that are thinking about going Nuclear. Like it or not, we are now the World's Sheriff. We have to be, because if any Rogue or Terrorist gets a Nuke we are the one he would use it against.

The only exception to this is Tel Aviv. And they will think twice on that one, because of Israelis unstated but known policy of using the "Samson Option" if they get nuked. Take down the ME. But someone like Al Q is so nuts they might go ahead anyway.

So this means we have to stop Korea, and do the same with Iran, Syria, and anybody else who tries to get Nukes. It is possible we might have to move on Pakistan if they go Taliban.

We just cannot allow anybody new to have Nukes. The President who does so will go down in History as being responsible for the deaths of more Americans than we will be able to count.
