Ted, <What do you think people will say when they see us having to buy our allies?>

Better than having to buy our enemies off:

Message 18528664;

There's a third choice.....funny how it gets overlooked.

If it were up to you liberals, you'd not only let Saddam have his weapons, you'd also be building two nuclear power plants in his country as well.

Lets not get nasty just because I am not buying that you all want to do what's best for the Iraqis.

Compared to that, aid to Turkey is a bargain.

I know.......it will help the Turks round up more Kurds and shoot......no wait, that's Saddam. Wait again, I was right the first time.......the Turks also are shooting the Kurds, and we're helping to foot the bill. How do you like dem apples?

But I thought we were going after Saddam to get rid of the bad people. Wrong again!

Oh but Turkey is so much better an ally than Germany; they don't back talk like the Germans but rather just ask for more money.......the language of the Bushes. You are the company you keep.

How can you live with yourself supporting these people?
