"Now tell me HOW invasion of Iraq is going to help with this stabilization we desire." Japan and Germany are better places now. Sorry, to bring it up again, but it's better in Kosovo and Afghanistan now, albeit there's still a ways to go. Let me think, a democratic Iraq, with a free press, destroying WMDs... removal of a tyrant that is set on inflaming the middle east and a rich display of American aid could result in a turning point in middle east politics. You make the U.S. out to be the big bad guy, I don't see it that way. Helping to create a stable democratic country might set an example for other Arab nations to aspire too. It's not like the U.S. is going into the country to act like the butcher Saddam is. Disarm Iraq and let it prosper, I think that is the goal. I don't think it is out of the realm of possibilites that the Iraqi people will welcome the U.S. with open arms once "the great leader" is removed. I think sanctions have been shown not work, force, inevitably becomes the last option, imo.
