I hear you Condor. And respectfully will say this: Containment has not worked in the 12 years since the UN told
Saddam to divest Iraq of ALL WMD and other weapons. War is a tough solution.

Has Iraq attacked the US in the 12 years?

Have ANY of the "containment" folks seen any of the materials that the US and UK governments have in their possession?

No, have you?

So maybe the "Containment" folks should all go over to Iraq en masse, and demand that Saddam comply. If the millions that were in all the photos this weekend, massed on the borders of Iraq, and then went in to "inspect" while the UN varifiers were there...maybe that would work. Maybe all the "Containment" folks would be able to go to ALL the underground bunkers, and underground tunnels to check everything. Perhaps a few hundred could even get on the 3 (known) "Mystery Ships" that are moving from place to place out there in the ocean.

I hear you KLP. And respectfully I will say this: You went from a dignified respectful entrance to foolish post full of silly content.

This isn't a comment from a "war type", Condor. It's just I have not seen ANY ideas coming from the "status quo" camp that will do anything except allow Saddam to continue forward as he has been doing for the previous 12 years. Getting stronger. Terrorizing his citizens. And killing millions of them. I think that we can all ignore the warnings at the peril of the entire world.

I suggest that Saddam be be assassinated. He won't go forward after that.

The difference is we have the war solution types versus the containment types. Essentially they want the same thing, its the plan for dealing with the danger that makes the two camps. In between are all us noisy neanderthal Type A personalities beating each other on the heads saying " MY PLAN IS BEST".

I agree with you here completely.
