Believe it or not, about 10% of American families have allegedly stocked up on duct tape. And plastic and water.

That's about 13 million families. If they just spent $50 average on duct tape, plastic and water, that would be a $650 million boost to sales.

Wal Mart credited a rise in duct tape sales to an improvement in sales this last weekend.
