JIM willie your analysis is excellent and i agree with your forecasts. i am pretty sure this is all going to end pretty badly. Slider is more short term oriented with excellent comprehension of events unfolding in normal/regular times and that's how things are unfolding presently. but shortly i perceive things will start to get compoundingly ugly and then slider either joins your camp or he will slide into a black/blue hole with his 3.5 baggers converted into paper. Although i would just go for the physical and not stocks as i think any kind of paper will be viewed with derision.

<must read> Gold Penny Stock Promoter - "MIA"

Caveat Emptor ~ on the Gold/Silver Hype folks...

worldnetdaily.com

["He added, "The recent disclosure of his role with Silverado and the less publicly acknowledged role he played with the Renaissance bag job should tell anyone all they need to know about the guy. If those episodes do not, his recent 'disappearance' says it all.

***Gold has enough of a kooky perception problem without this guy reinforcing every bad stereotype about those who populate the gold world."***

Chapman currently is owner and editor of The International Forecaster, described as "a compendium of information on business, finance, economics and social and political issues worldwide, which reaches 10,000 investors and brokers monthly."

Gold-touting sites like kitco.com, goldseek.com and 321gold.com of Miami have published Chapman's commentaries."]

re: GOLD TOUTING WEB SITES...

You know what is truly sad...is that finding a legitimate Web Site with fair & balanced discussion on Gold & PM's is practically impossible.

Since the inception of this thread; Gold Bullion has moved up 50% and the HUI Goldbug Index has returned a 350% profit to those who entered the cycle at the bottom.

But, now we have reached a crossroads.

The COMEX Market has reached record open interest levels; with commercials at dramatic short levels and small traders and speculators at near historic long levels.

We've seen dramatic volatility in both the Gold Stocks & Bullion and we've seen a fracturing of sentiment from Gold investors here on this thread.

What disturbs me; is there is no middle/moderate ground to be found.

Ted Butler reads the Barrick Release and see's $50 to $100 oz Silver... the market see's nothing and Silver closes up .03 cents.

Jim Puplava and his Financial Sense Online Web Site of whose work on the Financial Storm & Rogue Wave Event potentialities is appreciated by many; merely had Robert Prechter on his Show & Published his interview on his Web Site - where Prechter expressed some views that didn't quite march in lockstep with the Mega-Cycle Gold Bulls & another of the leading Mega-Cycle Gold Bulls demanded that all of his prior commentary be removed from Puplava's Web Site and took his Pom-Pom's & Cheerleading Megaphone and went home... But, it didn't stop there; no Jim Sinclair then sent out a PR Release where he told us of his "INTENTIONS" to buy $1 Million Dollars more of TanRange Stock - sometime in the future...."intentions" mind you...as in the road to hell was built with "good" intentions....and today we received his PM-Alert on how he plans to defend the honor of $350 Gold via doubling down each $1 tick in the sand from $350. Is this a cutting edge trading strategy that Sinclair is sharing with his loyal followers out of gratitude; or does it more resemble a ludicrous, if not hysteric cry for help on stopping the Bullion Meltdown ?

Now we see yet another Gold-Tout whose work was seen on such frontline Gold Web Sites as Kitco.com and 321gold.com; disappear under a Pump & Dump Cloud....and let's guess how long it takes to replace his void (vbg) ?

In the land of Gold-Tout's... the story can never end....we're going higher & higher & higher.

Because as you must know already; this time, it really is different....we're entering a new paradigm, a multi-year, Mega,Super-Up Cycle for Gold...don't you know...

Dare mouth that we've come too far, too fast & too easy and you're not just raining on someone's parade - you are Lucifer Incarnate x 10 as well...

Caveat Emptor ....must come to mind here.

Gold Stocks have over tripled and now the late cycle juniors, exploration plays and micro-caps are coming to the forefront along with all of the "Get Rich in Gold" Penny Stock & Futures Con-Jobs.

Sadly, fair & balanced may have made it to becoming the motto of the Fox Network...but, don't think for a moment that it's a welcome philosophy in the Fantasy Land of the Mega-Cycle Gold Bulls....as Gold has finally done what no other metal, or commodity has ever done before...

- it's learned to defy gravity...and can only go higher & higher & higher ~

on IGNORE, wasted time, bigger audiences more worthwhile /jw

Didn't expect you to wuss out on this argument.

I think the two of you were bringing out some pretty good
points.

In a way this argument has helped both of you to dig deeper
and think out your positions.

It also helps the reader to decide if he/she wants to be
long term or short term.

Putting Slider on IGNORE gives me a visual of two kids
fighting and one putting his fingers in his ears and
saying "Blah, blah, blah, blah!" to drown out the words of
the other kid. "I can't hear you!"

It seems that the points he raises are getting harder to
argue.

Instead of putting your fingers in your ears why don't you
do some homework and figure out is your argument has legs
to stand on. Then you will know for sure whether you want
to be heavily long here. Hang your bruised ego in the
closet and look deeper.

The two of you are feeding off each other and bringing
rather good points to the table. All that energy usually
brings out some good.

Now go back to your corner and come out swinging at the bell.
